At Fagerhult we always aim to encourage dialogues, provide value, and inspiration for good lighting environments for people. That is why we have created a new unique Experience Centre in the heart of Fagerhult – a complete experience characterised by knowledge, interactivity, and collaboration. Here you’ll be able to feel, evaluate, and explore all the dimensions and possibilities of light.
– We want our visitors to explore all the dimensions of light in an interactive and engaging way, says Maja Salinder, Customer Experience Developer, Fagerhult. The vision was to create a hands-on and full-scale experience where you can immerse yourself in the details, make conscious choices, and find the best solutions for your lighting project. We hope that every visitor will leave inspired and with new insights – and with a wish to return.
The Experience Centre is enriched with extensive knowledge from the minds of many – both from the heart of our operations in Fagerhult and from our colleagues and partners across Europe. Our DNA is now something that can be experienced and together we’ve created a place for collaboration, designed to provide answers to any question. All our experience-based solutions have been developed and found its inspiration from our core values innovation and sustainability.
– Products are left at the doorsteps in exchange for the magic of light. We encourage experience-sharing, sustainable insights, and new perceptions, says Daniel Johansson, Managing Director, Fagerhult. We’re happy to share our knowledge but are equally curious as to what our visitors can teach us. This is an open arena for all insights and questions.
We hope that the Experience Centre won’t leave anyone unmoved and that all visitors arrive curious and leave enlightened. We wish to inspire and create collective common insights and impressions – to make a difference together.

Fagerhult secures connected lighting under new cybersecurity law – becomes part of CE marking
Cybersecurity is an important and highly relevant issue today Starting August 1, 2025, a new requirement for connected products will take effect. Fagerhult now secures all products – and implements the requirement in CE marking. Daniel Järpehult is Technical Laboratory Manager, and responsible for CE marking of Fagerhult products: “Today, disruptions and intrusions are part of everyday life and we need to collectively take action to increase the cybersecurity of connected products and societal functions. “For Fagerhult, it involves preventing lighting control systems from being subjected to overload attacks or unauthorised individuals taking over the product’s functions.” New directives in progress The European Commission has developed a new and comprehensive framework on cybersecurity. However, a changing global situation and an increased risk of cyberattacks have accelerated the process. Requirements for connected products have therefore been added to the current Radio Equipment Directive (RED). Quote block - Daniel For Fagerhult, the new directives entail active and ongoing work on cybersecurity and that the new standard is implemented in the products’ CE marking. The regulatory framework coming into force in August 2025 falls under RED and is temporary, which means that it does not cover all aspects of cybersecurity. In December 2027, the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) — a framework introducing more comprehensive cybersecurity requirements — will come into effect. It will be broader in scope and include mandatory reporting obligations for disruptions, intrusions, or vulnerabilities, as well as the possibility of administrative fines for non-compliance. “Cybersecurity will be extremely important in the future, for society and for us. We are working on the basis of the rules coming into force this year, and are following developments to ensure that our products have a high and adequate level of security.” What will apply from August 1, 2025? All Fagerhult products that are subject to cybersecurity requirements must meet the new RED requirements. The CE marking ensures that the components used meet these requirements. Organic Response and City Grid are used for Fagerhult’s smart systems. Their components and systems are subject to and must meet EU cybersecurity requirements. Fagerhult’s products will be CE marked according to these requirements from August 1, 2025.
